Deidre McNamara –
Deidre is the last of three children born to Albert B. McNamara of Vicksburg, Mississippi and Marie McNamara of Lake Charles, Louisiana. She was born and raised in Pineville, Louisiana. She graduated from Pineville High School and from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA with a BFA in Design. Currently Deidre Is employed as a Graphic Artists at ADs Red Books in Ball, Louisiana and is a resident of Alexandria, Louisiana. She attends St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Alexandria.

Deidre always had a passion for photography as seen on this site. Of late, however, she has been exploring other art forms. She combines her own photography with vintage photography to create digital assemblage pieces. She is also combining her love of antiques and art to create assemblage pieces using vintage found objects, photography, painting and graphic design to create one of a kind Artique Assemblage Art.

Deidre sees art as an on going journey in learning. She finds inspiration for her work in the paintings of Georgia O’Keefe and the photographs of Dorothea Lange, Walker Evans, Eudora Whatley and all the photographers that documented the South during the Great Depression. God’s great beauty, her Catholic faith, works of literature and music also inspire her to create.

In 2010 Deidre’s Missing Souls series was included in the B&W Portfolio edition.
